Hi, I'm Rojina
I have always had a lot of interest in finance. Growing up and till today I see that either people save a lot of money, or they don’t. People keep saving money, but they forget to live life, enjoy the moment. Some people spend way too much money than they earn. Some people save way too much money than they need. Why? Because they do not know how money works. They do not have a good relationship with money.
I was a biology student but since I was very much interested in learning about Finance, I pursued finance. I became a CA. I worked in the banking sector, public, private sector, nonprofit organizations to understand how finance works. The more I started earning money, the more I had expenses and I ended up paying more tax. I was left with less cash in hand. That is when I thought whatever I studied finance in college was not the kind of education that is helpful in personal finance. I needed to know more. I wanted to know how rich people manage money. Things I never learnt from my degree is personal finance.
Lots of people do not try to educate themselves. Especially, women try to leave it to men’s hand. Rich people have financial advisors, but financial advisors do not help middle class people. The reason financial literacy is needed is because it is like knowing how to swim without a life vest.
My idea is to educate people about money so that people live to do stuff they are passionate about and not live to earn money.
